Xtreme Technology Makeover Contest Rules
Objective: To find an
organization in the Twin Cities who is most worthy to be Xtreme
Technology Makeover Contest
“Contest” winner.
Rules
and Regulations
1. The Contest is open to Twin Cities based businesses that:
a) Have 10
or more employees;
b) Have
been in business for a minimum of one (1) year; and
c) Are
either non-profit, not for profit, for profit, or a charity organization.
d) Are
willing to provide local phone, long distance, Internet, and cellular
bills
2. The Contest commences at 12:00 Noon, Monday, August 24th,
2009 and ends at 11:59 p.m., November 16th, 2009. The winner will be announced
at an all-Chamber After Hours Networking event in November (Location,
Date/Time TBD).
3. Applicants must allow Verus Corporation, RJS Software
and/or its partners to interview the principals and employees of the
business.
4. The board judging committee will consist of one person
from each of the Sponsors.
5. Finalists will be judged on the following criteria:
a) Business
Needs (40%)
b) Affect
on Community (30%)
c)
Applicability (15%)
d) Originality (15%)
6. The Contest winner must consent to filming, documenting
and all forms of press coverage in relation to the Contest and to serve
in company promotions, and case studies with Verus Corporation, RJS
Software, participating Chambers of Commerce, vendors, suppliers and
partners.
7. The Contest winner:
a)
may be obligated to renew services-warranty-licenses with other donating
or sponsoring organizations;
b)
is not obligated to have Verus Corporation and RJS Software install,
configure or support deliverable equipment, provided. However, that
portion of the Contest prize, if rejected by the Contest winner, and any
corresponding monetary value in lieu thereof, will be entirely forfeited
by the Contest winner.
8. Upon completion of deliverables, the Contest winner will
execute a release in favor of and in satisfactory form to Verus
Corporation and RJS Software, its partners and sponsors, acknowledging
the fulfillment of the deliverables, acknowledging that the winner has
read and understood the contest rules, waiving all further or additional
deliverables in relation to the Contest and releasing Verus Corporation,
RJS Software and its partners and sponsors, and their respective officers
and employees from all liability resulting from the award and or use of
the contest prize.
9. Verus Corporation and RJS Software reserve the right to
determine the components and services of the Contest when it has been
fully delivered.
10. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the
Contest winner. The Contest winner will be responsible for additional
charges (if applicable), that are incurred in excess of those costs
associated directly with the prize winnings.
11. All Sponsors are
responsible for their commitment of products and services to the winner.
12. The Contest may not
be used as a replacement to any ongoing work or currently approved and/or
scheduled work with any of the participating companies.
